ABOUT THE CLIENT
Winnie Lu is a Minnesota lifestyle boutique located in Victoria, MN specializing in home decor and gifts with a vintage and rustic touch. They carry products that reflect the Minnesota lifestyle -- plaid blankets, scented candles, and rustic inspired decor, and they love to discover the very best in Minnesota made products. Visiting them feels like home, and they strive to give their customers a warm, comfortable, and friendly shopping atmosphere.
Owner Patricia had a vision for a visual branding that was minimal, clean, traditional, and sophisticated, yet had a cozy Minnesotan flair. The final brand styling finds this balance of old and new, traditional and modern, with the neutrals-based color palette grounded in the classic navy and a warm yellow as a friendly accent. The clean serif typeface feels very classic as well, while bringing in a handwritten element to add a personal touch. The plaid pattern pays homage to the "up north" feel and the watermark pattern serves as a cleaner background and looks beautiful with the logo placed on top in white.
Patricia and I also collaborate on a seasonal lookbook design which is featured on her website here. It’s a fun way to showcase products and further communicate the Winnie Lu lifestyle. The printed copies are great takeaway for her customers too! I’m so thrilled to be continuing to work with their brand in this way.
