ABOUT THE CLIENT
Created for dog moms, by dog moms, North Dog specializes in high-quality, custom gifts for pet lovers that not only feel good to give but also do good. Their mission is to create unique, hand-picked gift sets that give back to local animal rescues here in Minnesota. They carefully select many like-minded partners who share the same heart as them and they are striving to "break the mold one rescue dog at a time."
The lovely Kristi is the heart behind North Dog. Together, we created a cohesive visual brand identity that is adventurous, fun, polished, and personable, while also feeling refined and professional to reflect the high-end products included in her gift sets. Versatility and consistency was key, to ensure the visual brand translated well from her website to social media to her packaging. Kristi wanted all her gifts to be an experience when you receive them — together, we worked to ensure the North Dog brand shined through in every aspect of her business.
The down-to-earth and slightly rough handwritten font for "North Dog" and the hand drawn heart has a down-to-earth energy and reminds customers of the how they're giving back with their purchase. The color palette is engaging, rich, subtly nature-inspired, and a bit unexpected — I love how it brings everything together in a cohesive way from the patterns and textures, to the illustrations, and the packaging.
